Privacy policy

ToolStorageHQ.com is a set of static pages. There is no account to create, no form to submit, no newsletter to join and no comment section, so there is nothing here that asks you for personal information.

Nothing. The five finders run entirely in the page: the options you select are held in memory while you are on the page and are gone when you leave it. They are not written to local storage or session storage, they are not placed in a cookie, and they are not sent anywhere. Nothing you enter into a finder leaves your device.

The compatibility search box behaves the same way. It filters a list that is already in the page, so typing a model number into it transmits nothing.

Requesting any page on the internet means telling a server your IP address, the page you asked for, and what browser you are using. Standard server logs of that kind are kept by the hosting provider for operational purposes such as diagnosing errors and mitigating abuse. This is ordinary web hosting rather than analytics about you.

Product links point at Amazon and carry this site’s associate tag. Following one takes you to Amazon, and from that point Amazon privacy practices apply rather than these. The tag identifies this site as the referrer; it does not identify you to this site, and this site receives no information about what you looked at or bought.

If you would rather not be counted as a referral, search for the product directly instead of following the link. Nothing on the pages here depends on it. The affiliate disclosure explains the arrangement in full.

Reference pages link to standards bodies and government agencies such as ASME, ISO, NIST, NHTSA, CPSC, OSHA and the FCC, and to manufacturer support documentation. Following any of those links takes you to that organization, under its own privacy practices.

Product images are served from the retailer, so displaying a category page involves your browser requesting images from that host in the normal way.
