Terms of use
Using ToolStorageHQ.com means accepting what follows. It is short, because the site is a set of static reference pages rather than a service.
The figures here are reference, not instruction
Specifications, ranges and computed results on this site are published for reference. They are drawn from standards, manufacturer documentation and product listings, and each page states what it drew on and under what conditions the figure holds. They are not engineering advice for your situation, and they are not a substitute for the documentation that came with your own equipment.
The five finders compute results from the inputs you give them using the formulas printed on each page. Those formulas carry stated assumptions and a stated list of what they do not account for. A result is only as good as those assumptions are true of your case, and deciding whether they are is your judgement to make.
Where the stakes are physical
- Load figures assume an evenly distributed static load on a unit standing square on a flat floor. They do not describe point loads, impact, deflection or tipping, and a shelf failing is not a theoretical problem.
- Anchor and fixing guidance is general. Your wall is not the wall an anchor was tested in, and drilling into a wall means drilling into whatever runs behind it.
- Electrical and pressure figures are reference values. Damaged cords should be replaced rather than tidied, and tire pressure is set by the placard on your own vehicle.
Compatibility statements
The garage opener model pages report which product listings name which model numbers. A product listing is a claim made by a seller. It is not a manufacturer statement, this site does not verify it, and this site does not state that any replacement is accepted by your opener.
Nothing on those pages should be read as an assurance that a part will program to your equipment. Each page carries steps for checking that yourself, and where a listing is silent this site is silent too. The compatibility index sets out how the list was built and where it stops.
Accuracy and changes
Reasonable care goes into every figure here, and the numbers are checked against their sources by script rather than by memory. Even so, standards are revised, listings are edited by sellers without notice, and errors happen. No warranty is given that the content is complete, current or free of mistakes.
Content may change or be removed at any time. If you find something wrong, send a correction and it will be checked against the source.
External sites and purchases
Links to standards bodies, government agencies, manufacturers and retailers are provided for reference. This site does not control those destinations and is not responsible for their content or their practices.
Purchases are made with the retailer, not with this site. Orders, returns, warranties and disputes are between you and them. The affiliate disclosure explains the commercial arrangement, and the privacy page covers what is and is not collected.

The writing, tables and tools on this site are original work. Product names, brand names and standard designations belong to their respective owners and are used here to identify what is being discussed. Product images are served from the retailer and belong to their owners.
